I was reading this post because I thought the concept was interesting.
Take three iconic American leaders and imagine what they might say about current events.
Then I read what the author thought they would say.
And I wasn't as interested slash intrigued anymore.
The author of the blog obviously thinks these three people can't have thoughts about something not related to the color of their skin.
This makes me wonder, for the billionth time, where the real source of modern day racial separation and racism springs from.
After the author's entirely racist, and in one instance just plain bizarre, idea of what these three American icons would say, were they all here today, in the same room, I have to imagine, the blog breaks down into a poorly written warning about what the author meant when he wrote the word Negro and how other non-negro people should be careful to never say negro or nigger.
In doing so the author creates a distinct correlation between a word he gives a positive definition of and one which is universally stigmatized and revered by the very racial group claiming to be held back by it, thus giving the distinct impression these two words can and are used interchangeably simply because they sound similar.
To me assuming everyone who isn't black is racist is boring as is the idea that such, for their times respectively, unique and progressive thinkers would look at the modern world and still only have racial commentary to make.
In my opinion the conversation would go as follows;
Obama "Holy fucking shit, ZOMBIES!!!!!!"
Malcolm X "That's HOUSE zombie to you."
Martin Luther King Junior *says nothing as he's too busy looking for one of his speech writers*

Best blog yet.
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling you might like this one.
DeleteI'm always amazed that when you disagree with the Pres., you're automatically a racist. That card is so overplayed...
ReplyDeleteLOL Zombies.
And boring. It is a boring card. Zombies are so much more fun.
