Occupy This! *flips the angry masses the middle finger*

Let me oversimplify for a moment.

You and a group of like minded individuals are angry about something and demand it be changed.

You're fired up, you're informed and you're not going to take no for an answer!

Now storm public streets and spaces and . . . do nothing?

What is this bullshit?

Non-violent protesting?

That's called whining and boy is our generation good at it.

Our opinions are informed by parents who wax nostalgic, while wearing rose tinted glasses, of past generations sitting down and placing delicate flowers in the barrels of violent war mongers and molded in the present by very hip modern cries to be involved in something progressive and forward thinking.

This is all well and good until you tell us, us who have drive through's, microwave ready food, online colleges we can complete in half the time, and all other manner of do it now have it now means we have to actually put our mobile devices down, shut off our media outlets, step outside and actually do something.

Well fuck that!

Let's just incorporate our lazy, jaded, and decadent lifestyles into this newest protest because it seems so very fashionable to care and burn and damn it, DO SOMETHING!!

Except you're not really doing anything are you, you hipster denizens playing hacky sac and filling public streets and parks with your filth, funk and festering expectations?

Oh no, you're participating in a non-violent protest.

You could have done that from home.

In fact there are many, many more ways to make a direct impact on the world in which you inhabit if your real goal is to affect change in it.

You are not the mass of victims you would like to be perceived as and believe you are.

You are not the helpless 99% who has not the weapons needed to dismantle a system you feel so certain is rotten through and through.

You bleeding dithering nincompoops!

You are the fucking system, you are its broken parts, you are its unsatisfying results and you will continue to be its annoying public image for as long as you believe there is a separation between you the citizen and that thing the system.

Standing around and interrupting the flow of traffic, commerce, and the busy hectic lives of people who have better things to do than sit around bitching and moaning that god damn it the world did not sit up and hand to you everything you expected on a silver fucking platter just makes you a self entitled asshole!

Some of us see the system for what it is and adapt to it so that its short comings and flaws do not inhibit us unduly. 

It's called taking responsibility for the life you have been given.

If you all really want to change something than fucking DO something.

Acting like a bunch of dirty fucking idiot hippies of the modern era only fucking makes those of us who couldn't afford to be such blaring brilliant beacons of dissatisfaction and hope wish dysentery and typhoid weren't things of the past. 

I am not one of the 99%.

I am one of the fortunate few who says what he wants, loves who he chooses, fucks any old way I please, works every day, spends on whatever I like, has food in the fridge, clothes on my back, a roof over my head, and enough left over after every bill has been paid to entertain myself anyway I like without retribution from my government, my fellow man, or any divine power.

I'd say that makes me pretty fucking rare comparatively.

This is such a bunch of sensationalist, narcissistic, self entitled bullshit.
